1. Introduction

This policy explains what personal information we collect through the SkillonX website, why we collect it, how we protect it and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to skillonx.com. SuitonX, SlidesOnX and ScriptOnX each have their own websites, and their own privacy practices apply there.

Some forms described below may not be open to submissions at a given time. This policy describes what each form collects when it is open.

2. Who we are

The website is operated by SkillonX Edtech Private Limited, based in Mysuru, Karnataka, India. We decide how the information you send us through the website is used. 3. Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us through our forms:

• Enquiries: your name, email address, organisation (optional), the topic of your enquiry and your message.
• Demo requests: your name, work email, organisation, role, the product you are interested in, and optionally a telephone number and your requirements.
• Partner applications: your name, email, telephone number, organisation, city, state and country, the partnership model you are interested in, your experience and any additional information you give.
• Careers: your name, email, a telephone number if you give one, your message and the role you refer to.
• A reference number, the time of submission and your acknowledgement of this policy are stored with each submission.
• Staff accounts (not visitors): authorised SkillonX staff have an account holding their name, email address, role, a salted hash of their password, an encrypted second-factor secret and sign-in and session records.

4. Information we do not collect

The website does not ask for payment details, government identity numbers, dates of birth or file uploads. Please do not include passwords or sensitive personal information in a message.

To limit abuse of our forms we keep a short-lived counter for each visitor, identified only by a keyed one-way hash of the network address. The address itself is not stored, and these counters are removed within hours. Our application logs are restricted to technical fields and do not record names, email addresses, telephone numbers or message text.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The public website does not set cookies and does not use advertising, analytics or other third-party tracking scripts.

Our separate administration portal, used only by authorised SkillonX staff, uses strictly necessary session cookies to keep staff signed in securely. Visitors to the public website never receive them.

6. Why we use your information

We do not use your submission for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

• To read and respond to your enquiry.
• To assess and arrange a product demonstration you have asked for.
• To assess a partner application.
• To consider you for work with SkillonX if you contact us about careers.
• To operate, secure and audit the process, for example to detect duplicate or abusive submissions.

7. Where information is stored and how it is protected

Submissions are stored in a database on the hosting environment used for the website. We apply the following protections, and no system is completely secure:

• The website is served over HTTPS.
• Submissions are not readable from the public website. Only authorised SkillonX staff can view them, through the administration portal, and access is limited by role.
• Staff accounts are protected by a password and a second authentication factor, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited.
• Actions on records are written to an audit log that records who did what, not the contents of your message.
• Database backups, when they are made, are encrypted and kept apart from the key that opens them.

8. Who we share it with

Only authorised SkillonX staff handle your submission. Where email notifications are switched on, an internal notification that a submission has arrived is sent to our team. We do not send automatic emails to people who submit forms.

We may use service providers, such as hosting and email delivery, to run the website, and they process information only for that purpose. We may disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information.

9. How long we keep it, and deletion

We keep a submission for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which you sent it, and for as long as the law requires. Submissions are not deleted automatically. Until specific retention periods for each type of submission are published here, we remove a submission when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to.

You can ask us to delete your submission. After we verify that the request comes from you, we delete it from our live systems, together with its internal notes and acknowledgement record. Audit entries remain, but they do not identify you once the record is deleted. Encrypted backups made before the deletion are removed when they expire under our backup retention. We may be unable to delete a record that we are legally required to keep.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm and give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent to our contacting you. You may also raise a grievance about how we handle your information.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will ask you to confirm the email address you used so that we do not disclose information to the wrong person.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
